Year-7 Chemistry Particles: States of Matter
In this Year-7 Chemistry Particles: States of Matter lesson students will learn how to describe the properties of solids, liquids and gases. They will use the particle model to explain the properties of substances in each of the three states.
The slides include extension questions, and students can choose from a variety of different tasks.
This lesson includes:
- Title slide with learning objectives
- A starter activity
- A group reading task (literacy)
- Keywords sorting task (vocabulary: compress, flow, matter, vibrate and state of matter)
- A handout sheet task defining solids, liquids and gases and creating a fact-file.
- Questions and challenge questions
- Answer slides included
