In Key Stage 3 Biology, this lesson is the first of a two-part series about Antibiotics. Pupils will learn about the work of Alexander Fleming an important turning point in the history of medicine, be able to state which pathogens antibiotics work on and which they don’t, and be able to describe an experiment to show the effectiveness of different antibiotics.

Additionally, students can choose from both a fun, pick and mix of different tasks, and challenging extension questions relating to this turning point in biology.
