GCSE Biology Topic 2 Organisation: Cardiovascular Disease
In GCSE Biology Topic 2 Organisation: Cardiovascular Disease Part 1, pupils will state what cardiovascular disease and coronary heard disease are, explain how stents and statins can be used to treat CHD and compare stents to statins for the treatment of heart disease.
In Part 2 pupils will compare heart transplants with artificial hearts, describe valves, pacemakers and artificial blood and explain the difference between heart failure and a heart attack.
Extension questions are included on the slides and there is a pick and mix of different tasks to select from for your students. Follows the GCSE Biology AQA course.
