In this GCSE Biology Topic 5: Kidneys lesson pupils will describe the role of the kidneys in cleaning the blood, explain how hormones control the function of the kidneys and state the different types of treatment for kidney failure. The slides include extension questions, and students can choose from a variety of different tasks.

Note: this lesson does not discuss in detail how the two treatment methods work- this will be covered in the next lesson.
