They will write the word and symbol equations for photosynthesis and explain how plants use the glucose produced by photosynthesis. The slides include extension questions, and students can choose from a variety of different tasks.

Note: factors affecting photosynthesis and measuring photosynthesis are a separate lesson and not included in this one.

This lesson includes:

  • Title slide with learning objectives
  • A starter activity
  • Group reading (literacy)
  • Keywords task (vocabulary: photosynthesis, chloroplasts, chlorophyll, endothermic and glucose)
